The Radeon RX 5700 and the more powerful RX 5700 XT both belong to the first generation of AMD graphics cards, which are manufactured using the 7 nanometer process in the form of the Navi chip. Instead of the expensive HBM2 memory used in the Vega graphics cards, the new generation uses 8 GB GDDR6 memory with a clock speed of 1,750 MHz and a 256-bit connection. The new architecture, christened RDNA 1.0 by AMD, is also used here for the first time. Board partners such as ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire, PowerColor and MSI presented their custom solutions in August 2019.
