AMD Gaming PC for 2000 euros: The dream for every gamer

For the best possible configuration of an AMD gaming PC for €2000, we recommend using the current AM5 platform. This already implements PCI-Express 5.0 and DDR5 is also used directly for the RAM. This makes it the configuration with the most added value in terms of future-proofing.

The heartbeat: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Let's start with the AMD configuration. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is at the heart of this build and offers an excellent basis for gaming and multitasking thanks to its 8 cores and 16 threads, paired with impressive clock speeds of 4.20 GHz to 5.00 GHz. AMD's 3D V-Cache technology sets this processor apart from its competitors by reducing latency and significantly improving frame rates in games.

Graphics card options

For the NVIDIA graphics accelerator, we chose the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer and other manufacturers are also on the list. The graphics card offers 16GB of GDDR6X memory and is a powerful graphics card. The SUPER version currently costs considerably more and is out of the budget. For AMD graphics cards, we would recommend the PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XT HELLHOUND from our test. It even has 20 GB of graphics memory and is ideally designed for all types of applications. However, NVIDIA is further ahead when it comes to ray-tracing titles. Both cards are efficient and are equipped with good coolers.

AMD AM5 mainboard

When choosing an AM5 mainboard, we would go for the ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS or MSI Tomahawk WIFI X670E. Both rely on the X670E chipset, which also offers PCIe 5.0 support for NVMe and is the highest expansion level of the chipset. The platform offers extensive features and is also well equipped for later upgrades.

Shared components

Both configurations share the rest of the components, including 32GB of high-frequency CORSAIR Vengeance 6,000 MT/s DDR5 RAM for lightning-fast load times and smooth multitasking experiences. The Lexar NM790 2TB SSD from our test not only offers enough storage space for an extensive gaming library, but also impressive read and write speeds that drastically reduce loading times. For cooling the CPU, we would recommend an AIO water cooling system and in this case the Corsair iCUE H150 RGB, which ensures efficient heat dissipation. When choosing a case, we recommend the popular Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO RGB from our test or the Fractal Design North Black from our test. Both offer good air circulation and look stylish. The Corsair RM850x power supply rounds off both builds by ensuring a reliable and efficient power supply.
