The card is designed for high power consumption, with a maximum power draw of 600 watts and a memory bandwidth of 1,398 GB/s. There is a noticeable discrepancy in the technical specifications provided by partner PNY, which lists a 416-bit memory interface. However, we assume that this specification may be inaccurate given the unusual memory capacity of 84 GB.
The RTX Pro 5500 is clearly designed for artificial intelligence and complex simulations. It is compatible with rack-mounted workstations and supports both air and liquid cooling solutions. It also supports Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) technology, which allows the card to be split into two separate instances, each providing up to 42 GB of memory. NVIDIA has not yet announced an official price or a specific release date.
NVIDIA continues to demonstrate a shift in its business model away from gaming. Financial data shows that gaming has moved from being a primary revenue driver to a secondary role.
