The GeForce RTX 2070 joins the mid-range of the RTX series. The TU106-400A Turing chip with 10.6 billion transistors has enormous performance and plenty of overclocking potential. The GDDR6 memory also makes a positive contribution, which means that the RTX 2070 outshines even the GeForce GTX 1080 from the previous generation. With its 2,304 shader units, 144 texture units and 64 render output units, it is clearly superior to the GTX 1070, which it was actually intended to replace. Thanks to the 36 raytracing cores, Microsoft's DXR feature can be used to calculate light rays in selected games. DLSS ensures super sampling thanks to 288 tensor cores. Now that the price of the RTX 2070 has fallen, it is a very attractive purchase option for gamers with a budget of around €500.
