For years, virtual reality, often abbreviated as VR, has been considered “the next big thing” in the gaming industry.
The top systems in this area include the HTC Vive, developed in conjunction with Steam. The Oculus Rift, originally funded via Kickstarter and later acquired by Facebook, and of course the PlayStation VR developed by Sony for its own home console.
As a low-cost alternative to these systems, there are small portable versions that are powered by an Android smartphone. In addition to various versions of the Google Cardboard, the Gear VR product family from Samsung should be mentioned here first and foremost.

The “Steam Frame” will be Valve's upcoming virtual reality headset, designed for the mass market. During a public testing phase, the first details and impressions of the headset have now emerged. The HMD was showcased by German VooDooDE VR YouTuber, who shared video footage and initial impressions regarding the headset's comfort and build quality.
