FSR 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000
Radeon RX 7000 series owners are set to receive FSR 4.1 support in July this 2026. This update will enable RDNA 3 hardware to utilize machine learning for upscaling via the 1st Generation AI Accelerator using INT8 instructions. At the time of release, the feature is expected to be compatible with over 300 games.
FSR 4.1 for Radeon RX 6000
Support for the older RDNA-2 architecture, which includes the Radeon RX 6000 series for desktop and mobile platforms, is planned for early 2027. Although the timeline has been set, a final list of compatible hardware has not yet been published. FSR 4.1 serves as a quality improvement over the previously leaked FSR 4.0 code. Version 4.1 focuses on sharper image quality through improved ML upscaling and offers specific improvements for the “Dynamic Resolution Scaling” and “Ultra Performance” modes.
Details on the specific driver version and the exact launch date in July have not yet been announced. In addition, the full list of supported games has not yet been published.
