The W1 is based on the Zen 4 architecture and is manufactured using TSMC’s 4-nm FinFET process. The CPU features 8 cores and 16 threads, operates at a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz, and reaches boost clock speeds of 4.9 GHz. It also includes the integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics card, which is based on the RDNA 3 architecture and, with 12 cores, delivers graphics performance of up to 2600 MHz.
The system offers considerable flexibility when it comes to hardware upgrades. It features two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots that support 5600 MHz memory, allowing users to expand the total memory to up to 128 GB. For data storage, the device features two M.2-2280 slots that are compatible with NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs and support a maximum capacity of 4 TB. While the preconfigured options include 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, the device is also available as a barebone system for users who prefer to install their own components.
