The Radeon RX 9070 GRE is equipped with 12 GB GDDR6 memory, which operates at 18 Gbit/s via a 192-bit bus. To improve data throughput, the card has 48 MB of Infinity Cache. On the processing side, the GPU has 48 compute units and 3,072 stream processors. The clock rates are increased to a boost frequency of 2920 MHz, while the standard clock for games is 2,340 MHz.
To ensure stability under high workloads, SAPPHIRE has implemented Dual-X cooling technology. This system uses an integrated cooling module that is in direct contact with the GPU, memory and voltage regulators. Thermal efficiency is further supported by the Honeywell PTM7950 thermal interface material and AeroCurve fan blades, which reduce air friction and noise.
The electrical base consists of a 14-phase digital power supply design mounted on an 8-layer high TG copper PCB. This configuration is designed to handle high current requirements while ensuring precise power delivery. In addition, a metal backplate provides structural rigidity, and the PCIe power connector is equipped with an important safety mechanism to prevent circuit damage.
The card utilizes a PCI Express 5.0 x16 interface and requires a 650W power supply via two 8-pin connectors, with the typical power consumption of the card being 240W. For display output, the card offers two HDMI 2.1b connectors and two DisplayPort 2.1a connectors, allowing the GPU to drive up to four monitors with resolutions of up to 8K.
