New Game Integration and Hardware Support
The updated drivers offer day-one support for two new titles: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations. This compatibility spans all RDNA generations and ensures stability for a wide range of Radeon GPU users.
In addition to the new titles, AMD has also fixed certain hardware bugs. Users of the Radeon RX 7000 series will find a solution here for occasional crashes and driver timeouts that occurred while playing RoadCraft. The update also resolves a display issue for owners of the Radeon RX 6000 series, specifically the purple screen distortion that occurred when using the HP Reverb G2 headset via SteamVR.
Outstanding Issues and Stability Warnings
Despite these fixes, some known issues remain. Battlefield 6 is currently experiencing stability issues, including application crashes on the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU. Users of the RX 9000 series may also notice that the FSR and Frame Generation features in the software menu appear disabled while playing the same game, even though they are actually functioning. Additionally, the AMD Record and Stream features in Battlefield 6 can cause texture flickering or errors.
For professional users, there have been reports of rendering errors and model flickering in Blender and Maxon Cinema 4D when using RX 7000-series GPUs or newer. AMD currently recommends that users experiencing these specific issues with professional software roll back their installation to the “Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1” driver.
Availability and Regional Restrictions
The driver update also includes components of the AI bundle; however, some users in regions with restricted access to GitHub and HuggingFace may experience installation errors. AMD is currently working with the developers to resolve the crash issues in Battlefield 6; a fix is expected in a future release.
