The PG27UCWM and PG32UCWM utilize True RGB Stripe OLED technology, which eliminates the white subpixel typically found in WOLED panels. This design aims to improve text clarity and expand the color volume by up to 27% even at maximum brightness. Both monitors feature a TrueBlack Glossy coating for improved image sharpness.
A key technical feature is the dual-mode function, which allows users to switch between two different performance profiles: 4K resolution at a refresh rate of 240 Hz or Full HD (FHD) resolution at 480 Hz. In addition, the panels offer a response time of 0.03 ms to reduce motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced sequences.
To extend the lifespan of the OLED panels, ASUS has implemented a GaNFET solution for energy efficiency. This technology optimizes heat dissipation, resulting in approximately 35% less waste heat and a 10% reduction in exhaust temperatures compared to previous OLED models.
The monitors also feature an updated “OLED Care Pro” suite. This system uses a “Neo Proximity Sensor” with five adjustable motion sensitivity levels to detect the user’s presence. It also includes a configurable “Auto Away” timer ranging from one to 15 minutes, which displays a wallpaper when the user is away. These settings can be managed via the “ASUS DisplayWidget Center” app.
Color Accuracy and HDR Standards
The monitors are designed for high-precision color reproduction and feature 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, true 10-bit color depth, and a Delta E value of less than 2. In terms of industry standards, the devices are VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black-compliant and support Dolby Vision for enhanced High Dynamic Range (HDR) performance.
The series introduces integration with AI agents via the ASUS Display Control CLI and Agent Skill. This allows users to adjust monitor settings using natural language commands via a compatible AI agent. The system can perform complex profile changes—such as adjusting brightness, color temperature, gamma, and blue light filters—on one or more monitors simultaneously, without the need for manual menu navigation.
Connectivity Options and Hardware Interfaces
