Price Adjustments for Older Models

As a result, the predecessor models of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have become more expensive in almost all storage configurations, and the iPhone 16 Plus has been discontinued.

Among the remaining models, the iPhone 17e remains the entry-level model, though its price has increased. The 256-GB version now costs 850 € instead of the previous 700 €, while the model with higher storage capacity has risen by another 150 € to a total of 1,100 €. The iPhone 16 with 128 GB of storage has also seen a price increase to €1,000, even though it previously cost €850. In addition, the iPhone 17—which will serve as the current “base model” until the iPhone 18 is released in the spring—has become significantly more expensive. The 256-GB model now costs €1,100 instead of the previous €950, and the 512-GB version has risen from €1,200 to a whopping €1,350.

Significant Price Increases for the iPhone Air

The iPhone Air has seen some disproportionate price changes. The entry-level model with 256 GB has gone up by €100 and now costs €1,300. The 512-GB version has risen from €1,450 to €1,550. The 1-TB model has seen the most significant price increase, going up by €350 from €1,700 to €2,050.

iPhone 18 Pro Prices

The new iPhone 18 Pro series is also more expensive than previous generations. The base model of the iPhone 18 Pro with 256 GB now costs a hefty 1,450 €. That’s an increase of 150 €, just like with the other models. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at 1,600 €, which also represents a 150 € increase. The 512-GB versions of both Pro models have also gone up by 150 €. This puts the iPhones in the same price range as premium laptops, which seems absurd and certainly won’t help Apple’s sales figures.

Anyone considering getting the maximum storage capacity will have to pay a hefty premium for the 1-TB versions of the Pro and Pro Max, as the price has risen by 400 € compared to the previous generation! In addition, Apple has introduced a 2-TB variant for the Pro series, bringing the price of the 2-TB iPhone 18 Pro to an absurd 2,950 €, while the 2-TB Pro Max costs 3,100 €. Apple has never been known for affordable storage, but this change exceeds the expectations of long-time Apple enthusiasts.
