The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600P is an ultrawide gaming monitor featuring 5th-generation QD-OLED technology

The 34M2C8600P features a curved screen with a radius of 1800R, designed so that the edges of the display conform to the user's natural field of view. The panel is certified to VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and uses self-illuminating pixels to achieve deep blacks and precise contrast ratios. To minimize glare from ambient light, the screen is equipped with an anti-reflective coating.

In terms of color accuracy, the monitor covers 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color space. It supports 10-bit color depth, allowing it to display 1.07 billion colors—ensuring smooth color gradations for professional creative applications and high-fidelity gaming.

Motion Handling and Performance

The monitor operates at a native resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. It is designed for content with a lot of movement and offers a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz as well as a gray-to-gray (GtG) response time of 0.03 ms. These specifications are designed to prevent motion blur during fast camera movements or high-speed sequences. Additionally, the integration of Adaptive-Sync technology reduces screen tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the display’s refresh rate with the graphics processor’s output.

The device offers a versatile selection of input options, including two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 input. A key feature is the USB-C port, which supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for video transmission and delivers up to 90 W of Power Delivery, allowing compatible laptops to be charged via a single cable.

For users who manage multiple systems, the monitor features a built-in KVM switch, allowing two different connected devices to be controlled with a single keyboard and mouse. The MultiView feature further boosts productivity by supporting “Picture-in-Picture” (PiP) and “Picture-by-Picture” (PbP) modes.

The monitor features Ambiglow and AmbiScape technologies to enhance the surrounding environment. Ambiglow analyzes the screen content in real time and projects matching colors and brightness onto the wall behind the monitor. With AmbiScape, users can synchronize up to 10 Matter-certified smart lights to reflect the on-screen content, with adjustable options for saturation, hue, and color temperature. These features, as well as general monitor settings, are managed via the Philips Evnia Precision Center software.

The hardware includes a flexible stand that allows for 150 mm of height adjustment as well as tilt and swivel functions. For audio, the device is equipped with two built-in 5-W speakers and a dedicated headphone jack.
