UniFi Network Application 10 5 SafeOps (Image © Ubiquiti)
This release focuses on stability and the restoration of certain monitoring tools. Among the most important technical improvements is enhanced detection of “Auto STP Edge.” The update also improves the stability of both the general network app and the detection of protection measures in the control plane. Users will notice that the download and upload speed indicators are once again visible in the dashboard, making it possible to view the maximum network throughput. In terms of bug fixes, this version resolves a rare issue where the app would fail to launch after a user had rolled back to an older software version.
Deployment and Compatibility
For users managing self-hosted deployments, it is now recommended to migrate to the UniFi OS Server. This migration is intended to ensure that self-hosted environments have access to the same features and integrations as the broader platform. The native UniFi network application for UniFi OS remains compatible with several hardware models, provided they are running UniFi OS 3.1.6 or higher. Supported devices include:
- UDM, UDR, and UDR7
- UDR 5G Max
- Express and Express 7
- UCG models (Ultra, Max, Fiber, and Industrial)
UDM-Pro, UDM-SE, and UDW have supported this native application since UniFi OS 5.1.5. When performing manual updates via SSH, the system rejects any installation packages that are incompatible with the respective console. Devices running versions of UniFi OS prior to 3.1.6 on UDM and UDR hardware continue to use the standard UniFi network application for UniFi OS.
