The PRT-BE5000 uses the Wi-Fi 7 standard and delivers a combined throughput of 5000 Mbit/s. This is split between a 5-GHz band at 4320 Mbit/s and a 2.4-GHz band at 688 Mbit/s. To improve connection reliability, the device supports Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which allows devices to transmit data simultaneously across multiple frequency bands.
For wired infrastructure, the router is equipped with two 2.5G WAN/LAN ports, enabling fast connections between workstations and NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems. It also features three standard 1G LAN ports for additional peripherals. The internal hardware is supported by 1 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 MB of SPI NAND flash.
Studio-Specific Traffic Management
To meet the needs of creative professionals, the router uses “Creator-First” Adaptive QoE. This system monitors network activity in real time to prioritize traffic related to creative tasks—such as high-resolution streaming and the synchronization of large files—ensuring that these processes remain stable even during periods of high network load.
Management is handled via the Smart Home Master software. With this tool, users can segment their network by creating dedicated SSIDs for IoT devices and setting up secure VPN connections, thereby separating professional studio traffic from personal or smart home devices.
