For users who need more storage space, there is also a 2-TB version available for €1,359 or 1,349 USD. This higher-end version also includes two additional front panels made of red fabric and solid walnut wood. The prices are significantly higher than expected, which is because Valve does not subsidize the “console.” Valve continues to offer bundles that include the Steam Controller. The 512-GB bundle costs 1,128 USD / 1,108 EUR, while the 2-TB bundle costs 1,428 USD / 1,428 EUR.

Steam Machine Purchase Requirements and Allocation

The hardware is not available for direct purchase. Interested buyers must sign up for a waiting list by June 25. Valve has implemented a random selection process for those on the list to determine who will have the opportunity to purchase the system. To be eligible for the drawing, users must meet certain criteria:

    1. A Steam account with no restrictions.
    1. A verifiable purchase on the platform made before April 27 of the current year.
    1. A maximum of one device per household.

Once a user has registered, no further changes can be made to the registration. Anyone who misses the June 25 deadline will be placed at the end of the random selection queue.
