To prevent misuse, the model includes enhanced security measures specifically targeting chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) domains as well as cyberattack capabilities.

Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite: High Throughput with Low Latency

Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite was designed for high production traffic and low-latency requirements and is the most cost-effective model in the series. It can generate 350 output tokens per second, making it suitable for document processing and agent-based search.

Pricing for this model is significantly lower, at $0.30 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens. In several benchmarks, including SWE-Bench Pro (54.2% vs. 49.6%) and OSWorld-Verified (74.0% vs. 65.1%), this model outperforms the standard Gemini 3 Flash version on specific coding and agent-based tasks.

Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber: Specialized Security Analysis

Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber is a specialized model specifically designed to detect, validate, and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This model operates within the CodeMender infrastructure and uses multiple agents to generate comprehensive security reports.

Due to the dual-use nature of vulnerability detection technology, Google is restricting access to this model. It will be available exclusively to governments and verified partners as part of a limited-access pilot program to ensure it is used primarily for defensive security purposes.

Development Roadmap and Future Releases

While these models are now live, Gemini 3.5 Pro remains in the testing phase with select partners; a date for general release has not yet been set. At the same time, Google has confirmed that pre-training for the next generation of its AI architecture, Gemini 4, has begun.
