The Avantum 15 S2 is designed for multitasking, office applications, and image editing. The top-of-the-line configuration features an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor, which includes Intel AI Boost and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This hardware enables the device to process AI-based applications locally on the system. To handle these workloads, the laptop is equipped with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a 1 TB PCIe SSD for data storage, and integrated Intel Arc graphics.

Display and User Interface

The device features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with an anti-glare coating to ensure visibility from various viewing angles. User input is handled via a glass touchpad and a backlit keyboard. To protect privacy, MEDION has included a physical cover for the built-in camera.

The Avantum 15 S2 is designed for mobile use and weighs 1.7 kilograms. It is powered by a 55-Wh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, offers up to 16 hours of runtime. Wireless connectivity is provided by Intel Wi-Fi 6E, and the system runs on the Windows 11 Home operating system.

Price and Availability

The laptop is available in several configurations, starting with model MD600073; additional variants are expected in the coming weeks. Prices start at 829.95 euros. The device is sold through the MEDION online store and various retail partners, including MediaMarkt, Saturn, Amazon, and EXPERT.
