The new PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12 monitor offers a pixel density of 164 PPI and uses an RGB-stripe subpixel layout. This configuration is designed to closely mimic conventional LCD structures in order to reduce color fringing and improve the clarity of text and images. In terms of color accuracy, the monitor covers 99% of the wide DCI-P3 color space with a Delta E value of 2 or less. It also features VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and achieves a maximum HDR brightness of 1,000 nits.

To address common issues with OLED aging, the monitor features MSI OLED Auto Care technology. This system uses Data Counting Compensation (DCC) to monitor the condition of the pixels in the background in real time. Unlike traditional OLED protection methods, which require the user to pause their activities for maintenance cycles, this automated process runs without interrupting workflows or gaming sessions.

The PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12 features an anti-reflective coating with a hardness rating of 3H, which is 2.5 times more scratch-resistant than conventional 2H coatings. To promote user well-being, the monitor incorporates EyesErgo technology, including flicker-free hardware and TÜV-certified low blue light emissions. It is also Eyesafe 3.0-certified, which limits harmful blue light to a maximum of 20%, and meets the Circadian Protection Factor (CPF) standard to mainimize disruption to sleep hormones during nighttime use.

The monitor is designed for multi-system environments and features a convenient KVM switch along with support for Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP). Connectivity is via USB-C, which provides 15 W Power Delivery. The hardware is supported by a fully adjustable, ergonomic stand that allows for various viewing angles and offers customizable display settings in both SDR and HDR modes.
