AOC Showcases New AGON and AGON PRO Curved Monitors at Gamescom

AGON PRO AGP346UCSD in 34-inch and Ultrawide

With the AGP346UCSD, AOC is showcasing an extremely wide and curved monitor at its booth. From a technological standpoint, gamers get an advanced 5th-generation QD-OLED panel that supports a maximum refresh rate of 360 Hz and boasts a GtG response time of 0.03 ms. Since the monitor is very wide, the 34-inch model features a 21:9 WQHD aspect ratio. This combination is well-suited for racing and simulation games, where a wider field of view is needed to enhance peripheral perception.

The monitor features DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification with a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The directional pad controls are carried over from earlier models, which is why there’s a joystick on the right side of the back panel. Otherwise, the panel makes a good impression. AOC has set the price at €999.

AGON PRO AGP497UCZD with a 48.9-inch diagonal

In terms of width, AOC has gone one step further by introducing its AGP497UCZD with a nearly 49-inch diagonal in the 32:9 SuperWide format. The monitor is roughly equivalent to two 27-inch QHD displays, offering users plenty of screen real estate. The 240 Hz refresh rate isn’t outstanding but is certainly acceptable. Here, too, sim racing, flight simulators, and open-world adventures take center stage because they benefit from the wide screen. The panel is reportedly from Samsung and is based on third-generation QD-OLED technology.

The monitor also features a built-in KVM switch and 90 W USB-C Power Delivery. On the back, there’s a flip-up headphone hook. The monitor is set to launch at €999.
