The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Series features high-capacity, long-lasting batteries

The series uses silicon-carbon battery technology in combination with an intelligent power management system. Thanks to this hardware, the batteries retain at least 80 percent of their original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 9,210-mAh battery—the largest Xiaomi has ever used for the European market. It supports 100-W HyperCharge and 27-W reverse charging and offers up to three days of battery life on a single charge. The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is equipped with an 8,340-mAh battery and 67-W fast charging. The other two models in the series feature 7,700-mAh batteries with 45-W Turbo Charging.

The Pro Max and Pro 5G models have received the 5-star Titan Quality certification from TÜV SÜD. This standard evaluates three specific areas: drop resistance (including vibrations and port durability), water resistance through eight different immersion tests, and battery life under extreme temperatures and mechanical stress.

Both Pro models are certified to IP66 and IP68 standards for dust and water resistance. They feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an internal architecture consisting of a high-strength motherboard and a reinforced MDA mid-frame to protect the components from impacts. The SGS certification confirms that these devices can withstand drops from heights of up to three meters onto granite surfaces. To ensure functionality under challenging conditions, the series features Wet-Touch Technology 2.0. This system detects water, oil, or sweat on the screen and adjusts touch sensitivity to ensure reliable input.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 mobile platform. Both Pro models support “Memory Extension,” providing up to 24 GB of RAM for handling multiple background applications. AI features are integrated throughout the product line. The Pro Max model features Xiaomi HyperAI for productive and creative tasks. All models in the series support Google Gemini and “Circle to Search” with Google.

The Pro models feature a 6.83-inch display with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits and a 1.5K resolution. These screens offer a real-time touch sampling rate of 3,200 Hz. The Redmi Note 17 5G and the standard Redmi Note 17 model feature larger 6.99-inch displays.

When it comes to sound, the Pro Max model offers volume amplification of up to 400 percent. The camera systems on all models support dual video recording. The Pro Max specifically supports 4K video recording at 30 fps. The Pro models also feature a professional video mode and a “Live Moment” function. Post-processing is handled by the AI Creativity Assistant, with the Pro models offering additional tools for glare removal and image optimization.

All devices in the series receive security updates for up to six years. Certain models also come with a six-year battery warranty. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G offers a specialized software experience designed to maintain performance levels over a six-year period.
