TP-Link Unveils New Wi-Fi 8 Portfolio and New Router Series at IFA 2026

WiFi 8 Stability Engine and Technical Specifications

At the heart of the new WiFi 8 series is the WiFi 8 Stability Engine, which is designed to minimize common connection issues such as limited range in peripheral areas, network congestion due to high device density, and signal interference.

The system utilizes several next-generation technologies to maintain connection stability:

• Enhanced Long Range (ELR) and Distributed Resource Units (DRU): These technologies extend Wi-Fi range and improve uplink performance for devices that are far away or have low power.
• Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA): This feature ensures network responsiveness when multiple devices are connected simultaneously.

Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra

The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 router that offers aggregate Wi-Fi speeds of up to 19 Gbps and wired connections of up to 10 Gbps. The device features 18 internal high-performance antennas and a minimalist design in which traditional LED indicators have been replaced by a status light.

The Deco 8 Ultra is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 mesh system with a total Wi-Fi speed of up to 22 Gbit/s and a wired connection of up to 10 Gbit/s. A set of three devices can cover areas of up to 910 square meters and support more than 200 connected devices.

TP-LinkBox 7

TP-Link has also announced pre-sales for the TP-LinkBox 7, which serves as the first model in a series developed exclusively for the German market. The router has a suggested retail price of 179.90 euros and is available via the Tapo Store until September 10, 2026, as a limited-time pre-order offer for 149.90 euros.

In addition to the standard model, the TP-LinkBox 7 Pro and the TP-LinkBox 7 Pro Fiber will also be unveiled at IFA, where the full technical specifications for the entire series will be announced.

TP-Link will showcase these products at IFA 2026 in Hall 7.2C, Booth 101.
