  • Gears of War: E-Day
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered
  • AION 2

This driver version resolves several critical bugs that affected both game launch stability and hardware compatibility.

Game Stability Fixes

NVIDIA has fixed an issue where certain titles could no longer be launched after updating to driver version 616.56. Specifically, this fix affects “Judgement,” “Lost Judgement,” and “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.” (Reference ID: [6681537]).

General Hardware and Display Fixes

The update also addresses regressions that occurred in the R615 driver series regarding display connectivity and power management:

  • 1. HDMI Connection: A fix has been implemented for the Samsung Odyssey G95NC monitor, which previously displayed no image when connected via HDMI after the R615 update (Reference ID: [6771206]).
  • 2. DisplayPort Power State: The driver resolves an issue where certain monitors could not wake from sleep mode after the R615 update when using a DisplayPort connection (Reference ID: [6757568]).

Known Issues

Despite the fixes in version 617.14, some instabilities from earlier versions persist. Users of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” may experience crashes back to the desktop after extended playtime. This issue was first observed in driver 616.56 and is currently still under investigation (Reference ID: [6685219]).
