Connectivity Options and Performance Specifications

The TI-G162 is equipped with 14 Gigabit RJ45 ports for high-speed device connectivity. To enable data transmission over long distances and flexible network expansion, the device also features two Gigabit SFP slots for integrating fiber-optic connections. The switch offers a total switching capacity of 32 Gbit/s, providing sufficient bandwidth for the simultaneous communication of sensors, cameras, controllers, and machines.

Designed for extreme conditions, the switch is housed in a rugged metal enclosure with an IP50 rating, which ensures protection against dust ingress. The hardware is engineered to withstand mechanical stress and complies with the EN 60068-2-27, EN 60068-2-31, and EN 60068-2-6 standards for shock and vibration. The device is designed to operate reliably over a wide temperature range from -40 °C to +75 °C without additional climate control. This makes it suitable for both unheated outdoor installations and industrial environments with high heat generation.

To ensure maximum uptime, the TI-G162 features two redundant power connections with integrated overload protection; if one power source fails, the second automatically takes over to ensure continued operation. The device also includes an integrated alarm relay that triggers a notification in the event of a power failure, enabling a rapid response from maintenance personnel.

The TI-G162 is designed for easy integration into industrial control cabinets and systems and comes with brackets for DIN rail and wall mounting. Thanks to its compact design, it can also be installed in locations where rack space is limited. Although the switch optionally supports power supply via the TI-M6024 power supply unit, this is sold separately.
