The latest version of the “Game On” driver includes specific optimizations for new titles. Hardware running this driver version receives updated support for the following applications:
- ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE
- Gears of War: E-Day
These optimizations are designed to improve stability and performance on both discrete and integrated GPU architectures.
Existing Issues
Despite the updates, some known issues persist across various hardware levels. Users are advised to review the following stability reports before installation.
Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Integrated Graphics
Users with Series 3 architecture may experience application crashes when playing Mafia: The Old Country using the DX12 API. Additionally, it has been reported that the PugetBench benchmark for Adobe Lightroom Classic crashes when the advanced preset is enabled.
Intel Arc B-Series Discrete GPUs
On B-series hardware, Arena Breakout Infinite (DX12) is prone to crashes when the “Terrain Surface Subdivision” setting is enabled. For professional workloads, the PugetBench benchmark for DaVinci Resolve Studio may experience intermittent errors. To mitigate this, it is recommended to set the timeout slider in the benchmark settings to 1,500 seconds or higher. Additionally, Adobe Lightroom Classic may crash during PugetBench tests when the advanced preset is used.
Intel Arc A-Series Discrete GPUs
The A-Series products exhibit several issues that also occur with the B-Series, including application crashes in Arena Breakout Infinite (DX12) when “Terrain Surface Subdivision” is enabled, as well as intermittent crashes in PugetBench for DaVinci Resolve Studio. As with the B-series, the recommended workaround is to increase the timeout slider to 1,500 seconds.
Additionally, using the advanced PugetBench preset may result in lower-than-expected performance in “Gears of War: E-Day” (DX12) as well as crashes in Adobe Lightroom Classic.
Integrated Graphics on the Intel Core Ultra Series 2
Series 2 platforms exhibit several stability issues:
- Gaming: Application crashes may occur in “EA SPORTS FC 27” (DX12), and a performance drop was observed in “Gears of War: E-Day” (DX12).
- Content Creation: Adobe Lightroom Classic may crash during testing with the PugetBench advanced preset.
- AI Workloads: The “Procyon AI Image Generation” and “Procyon AI Text Generation” benchmarks may fail to complete their respective tests.
Intel Core Ultra Series 1 with Integrated Graphics
On the first generation of Core Ultra processors, NBA 2K26 (DX12) may crash upon first launch. Additionally, performance issues have been reported in “Gears of War: E-Day” (DX12).
