Real-World Use
After unboxing all the devices, we put them straight to work in everyday use. We tested the four charging accessories over an extended period of daily use to evaluate their feel, build quality, and actual practicality.
Nexode Air 65W GaN Fast Charger Set
The white power adapter is a classic all-rounder for your desk or travel bag. Thanks to its built-in GaN technology, the wall charger—with dimensions of approximately 72 x 35 x 32 mm and a weight of just 78 grams—is noticeably more compact and lighter than conventional laptop power adapters in the same power class. The matte finish on the housing is also practical, as it leaves little room for fingerprints. The build quality of the housing is impeccable; nothing creaks or feels cheap.
Via the USB-C port, the adapter reliably supplies power to modern mobile devices. Thanks to support for common fast-charging standards such as USB Power Delivery, including the PPS function, the power adapter automatically selects the optimal charging power for the connected device. Our iPhone 16 Pro Max consistently draws the maximum charging power here, but an iPad or a MacBook Pro can also be powered by the power adapter without any issues.
In practical use, the power adapter demonstrates its efficiency. Under sustained full load, the housing does get noticeably warm, but thanks to the built-in temperature monitoring, it remains within a safe range at all times and operates completely silently. The included, color-coordinated white 1-meter USB-C cable is rated for up to 100 watts, feels very sturdy, offers good flexibility, and fits securely in the port without wobbling. The only slight drawback is that UGREEN didn’t include a second USB-C port on this power supply.
Nexode Air 65W GaN Fast Charger Slim
The gray Slim power adapter also proved to be a practical companion in our test. Thanks to its extremely slim design in the folded mode, with dimensions of approximately 87 x 52 x 28 mm and a weight of 113 grams, the adapter takes up hardly any space in a backpack or in narrow compartments. A well-thought-out feature is the foldable wall plug. When not in use, it can be easily folded back against the housing, which drastically reduces the pack size even further. However, such a hinged connection is also a potential weak point with frequent use; when folded back, the plug on our test unit already rattles very slightly. Despite its slim design, the Slim Charger sits surprisingly firmly and without wobbling in the outlet when in use.
In terms of performance, the slim version is in no way inferior to the standard cube set and also delivers a full 65 watts of total power. However, this power is distributed across three ports: two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. When the primary USB-C port is used alone, the power adapter delivers its full 65-watt output, which is more than enough for a MacBook Pro or iPad. Thanks to its extensive PPS support, not only our iPhone 16 Pro Max but also Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones can charge at their maximum possible fast-charging speed. When multiple devices are connected at the same time, the power adapter intelligently distributes the power across the ports.
The real highlight, however, is its slim profile. This makes the adapter the perfect solution for tight spaces behind the couch, the bed, or the desk. But even when you’re on the go, the flat design allows it to be stowed much more elegantly in narrow document or laptop bags.
MagFlow Air 5000mAh Power Bank
The small white model is noticeably lightweight in our test group. With its extremely compact dimensions, the power bank fits discreetly against the back of our iPhone 16 Pro Max. The surface texture on the contact side consists of soft, soft-touch silicone and reliably protects the smartphone’s case from scratches. The rest of the casing is made of aluminum and feels truly high-quality. Inside, UGREEN relies on durable ATL battery cells. The MagFlow Air 5000mAh docks magnetically with ease, aligns automatically, and charges our iPhone wirelessly at a brisk 15 watts. On the bottom, there’s also a USB-C port for bidirectional fast charging at up to 20 watts. This allows you to charge the iPhone via a cable on one hand, and on the other hand, it also recharges the power bank itself in about two hours. It also supports pass-through charging, allowing both the power bank and the smartphone to be charged simultaneously.
The power bank displays the remaining charge capacity via four small LEDs. A quick press of the button on the side activates the status lights, allowing you to check the current battery level at a glance at any time.
In practical testing, the difference between the charging methods is noticeable in terms of energy efficiency. With wireless charging, the capacity is sufficient, despite typical induction losses to charge the large battery of our iPhone 16 Pro Max to about 60 to 65 percent. If, on the other hand, we use the cable, we benefit from the higher efficiency and get a solid 75 to 80 percent charge from the power bank. That’s more than enough as a lifeline when you’re on the go.
MagFlow Air 10,000mAh Power Bank
Those who regularly travel long distances away from power outlets will prefer the gray version with double the capacity. Although the case is slightly longer and thicker due to the larger battery pack, it remains surprisingly slim for a 10,000 mAh power bank. On the contact side, soft-touch silicone also provides protection against scratches, while the rest of the casing features a dark aluminum finish that adds a touch of high-end style. Here, too, UGREEN uses compact ATL battery cells. The MagFlow Air docks magnetically and perfectly centered on our iPhone 16 Pro Max, charging it wirelessly via the Qi2 standard at 15 watts.
In addition to the bidirectional USB-C port on the bottom, there’s a built-in braided USB-C cable that also delivers a brisk 30 watts of power and is additionally intended by the manufacturer to serve as a carrying strap. According to UGREEN, the strap can withstand up to 8 kg of tensile force, making it easy to carry the device by it. In everyday use, however, the strap proves to be a double-edged sword when using the phone, as the fixed cable can easily get in the way when holding the device in your hand. At the same time, however, an integrated cable like this is incredibly practical, as it allows you to charge another device without any extra accessories. The 10,000-mAh power bank can be charged via a wired connection in a speedy 1.5 hours. Pass-through charging is also available here.
In general, both power banks are generous when it comes to simultaneous charging. While the 5,000 mAh version can power up to two devices at once, the 10,000 mAh model can charge as many as three devices simultaneously via Qi2, the USB-C port, and the built-in cable.
Also included with the 10,000-mAh version are, of course, the four status LEDs along with a side control button for quickly checking the remaining capacity.
Thanks to its increased capacity, the power bank proves to be a true endurance champion in terms of energy efficiency during practical testing. When charging wirelessly, the charge is sufficient to fully charge the large battery of our iPhone 16 Pro Max about 1.1 to 1.2 times. If you use the included cable or the USB-C port instead, the higher efficiency pays off, allowing for a good 1.5 to 1.6 full charges. For long weekends or days of intensive travel, the 10,000 mAh version is therefore the ideal choice.
Conclusion
With these four new charging accessories, UGREEN delivers an all-around successful package that impressed us in our test with its practicality in everyday use. The build quality is consistently very high, the modern design fits seamlessly into the tech ecosystem, and the selection of colors is quite striking.
The two Qi2 power banks from the MagFlow Air series proved to be reliable companions in our test. The 5,000 mAh model is the perfect choice for anyone looking for an extremely slim and featherlight emergency backup that’s barely noticeable on the back of a smartphone during everyday use. Those who need more endurance for long days away from a power outlet should opt for the 10,000 mAh version. Despite its double the capacity, it offers a surprisingly slim profile and stands out with its built-in USB-C cable, which eliminates the need to carry an additional accessory.
When it comes to wall chargers, the white Nexode Air 65W set offers a fantastic all-in-one solution for your desk or travel bag, since the color-coordinated USB-C fast-charging cable is included right in the box. The gray Nexode Air 65W Slim Charger, on the other hand, impressed us as a true space-saving marvel. With its slim design, it frees up the occasional outlet in tight spaces, behind the couch, or under the bed.
