This release focuses on improving overall application stability. The update also enhances the reliability of monitoring functions, ensuring more consistent monitoring and reporting across all network environments.
Resolved Software Issues
Several technical issues have been resolved in this version to improve network reliability and management accuracy:
- Wireless Connection: A rare issue affecting Wi-Fi clients using Multi-Link Operation (MLO) that caused incorrect IP addresses to be displayed has been resolved. In addition, a Wi-Fi transmission error affecting UDR7 and UDR-5G devices when using MLO STR has been corrected.
- Management Tools: Inaccuracies in Port Lock events within “Port Manager Time Machine” have been resolved.
- Administrator Access: An issue that prevented site administrators from accessing settings in multi-site configurations has been resolved.
Deployment and Infrastructure Recommendations
For users managing self-hosted deployments, upgrading to UniFi OS Server is recommended. This migration provides the full platform experience, including the latest features and system integrations. Regarding the native UniFi OS application, compatibility has been confirmed for the following hardware running UniFi OS version 3.1.6 or higher:
- UDM, UDR, UDR7, and UDR 5G Max.
- Express and Express 7.
- UCG models, including Ultra, Max, Fiber, and Industrial.
Please note that UDM-Pro, UDM-SE, and UDW have been using this native application since UniFi OS 5.1.5. For older UDM and UDR devices running versions prior to 3.1.6, the standard UniFi network application will continue to be used. Users performing manual updates via SSH must ensure they use compatible packages, as incompatible versions will be rejected by the system during installation.
