The SHUGO DDR5 series features a multi-layered aesthetic approach, utilizing aluminum heatsinks finished with UV and precision pad printing. The initial launch includes two designs developed by the community: “Onyx Blade” and “Sakura Noa”.

A key technical feature of this series is the patented micro-drilling technology. Unlike conventional RGB strips, this system allows the light to shine through the side of the module and integrates the lighting into the printed design. Each design uses a specific drilling pattern to ensure that lighting effects are an extension of the visual design rather than appearing as a separate component.

Technical performance and hardware

From a hardware perspective, SHUGO DDR5 consists of hand-picked and rigorously sorted ICs. These components are mounted on a high-performance PCB designed to maintain signal integrity during overclocking and high utilization. Thermal management is provided by Corsair DHX cooling technology, which ensures stability during intensive multitasking or gaming.

The modules are available in 32GB kits consisting of two 16GB bars. The technical specifications include speeds of up to 6,000 MT/s with a CL28-CAS latency and an operating voltage of 1.4 V. The memory is compatible with current Intel and AMD platforms.

Software integration and aesthetic accessories

Lighting is controlled via individually addressable RGB LEDs that are fully compatible with the iCUE software ecosystem, enabling system-wide synchronization and customization.

For users who prefer a symmetrical memory layout regardless of their actual capacity requirements, Corsair offers a Light Enhancement Kit (LEK). These modules do not contain any memory chips and serve solely as aesthetic filler elements for empty DIMM slots to complete the appearance of the motherboard.

Due to its positioning as a collector's item, the SHUGO DDR5 series is produced in limited quantities. The kits are already available in the Corsair store at the following prices:
