The system runs on the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 300 Series platform, with configurations available up to the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. In terms of raw performance, the desktop achieves a total AI computing power of up to 126 TOPS. This includes a dedicated AMD XDNA 2 NPU, which delivers up to 50 TOPS, as well as an integrated AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics card with up to 40 compute units.
A key feature of the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is its unified memory architecture. By utilizing up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory, the system avoids the typical VRAM bottlenecks that occur in configurations with discrete GPUs. Of this, up to 96 GB can be dynamically allocated as “Variable Graphics Memory.” This capacity enables the device to run large language models (LLMs) with up to 120 billion parameters entirely on the local device.

To manage heat generation within its compact 4-liter chassis, MSI has integrated Frozr AI Pro Cooling and Glacier Armor. These cooling components are designed to ensure system stability during long inference sessions that place heavy demands on the processor and memory.
