The update introduces Siri AI, a revamped version of the assistant equipped with improved personal context and screen awareness. This system is able to search through a user's personal data, including photos, emails and messages, to perform tasks and take app actions across the operating system. In addition, the assistant has been equipped with broader general knowledge to handle a wider range of requests.

Siri AI is currently available for testing in the developer betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and visionOS 27. Integration for the Apple Watch is expected in a later watchOS 27 beta. Apple has announced that these features will enter the public beta testing phase in July.

The hardware requirements for Siri AI are specific: iPhone 15 Pro or newer models are the minimum requirement for the iPhone series. Other compatible devices in the Apple ecosystem are also supported.

The full rollout of the revamped Assistant to all compatible users is planned for later this year. Despite the general release, Apple will continue to classify the software as a beta during the initial rollout phase. Currently, Siri AI is only available in English.
