Corsair released a new MicroATX Case 2800X RS-R ARGB case

The 2800X features three pre-installed RS120-R ARGB PWM fans with reverse rotation on the inner side panel, designed to draw cool air into the case. These fans use magnetic-dome bearings to ensure quiet operation and connect directly to the motherboard via 4-pin PWM and +5V ARGB connectors, eliminating the need for an external controller.

For enhanced cooling, the case supports up to ten 120-mm fans. The top section of the case is compatible with radiators up to 360 mm, allowing for the installation of larger liquid cooling loops for processors with high TDP.

Despite its reduced size compared to mid-tower models, the 2800X offers 410 mm of clearance for the graphics card, ensuring compatibility with the largest modern graphics cards. To protect heavy hardware, the case features an adjustable stabilizing arm that prevents sagging and thus reduces stress on the PCIe slot. The case was specifically designed to support the latest motherboards with reverse-mounted connectors, where power and data connectors have been moved to the back of the board to create a tidier interior. Visibility is enhanced by front and side panels made of tempered glass.

Cable management is handled in a dedicated rear compartment using three integrated Velcro straps. A combined storage tray behind the motherboard provides mounting points for either two SSDs or a single HDD. The top I/O panel features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port with transfer speeds of 5 Gb/s and a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port with speeds of up to 20 Gb/s.

Users can optionally switch to the iCUE LINK ecosystem by purchasing the “COMMANDER DUO Hybrid Lighting and Fan Controller.” This enables the synchronization of iCUE LINK AIO coolers and fans via a single software interface.

The Corsair 2800X is available through authorized retailers and the company’s online store with a two-year warranty. In Germany, the case will be available for €79.90.
