Noctua and Prusa bringing new PETG Filament for 3D Printing Projects

While PLA is widely used due to its ease of processing and user-friendliness, it lacks the mechanical and thermal properties required for high-stress environments. In contrast, the new PETG materials are designed for components that must withstand structural loads or be used at temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius.

Thanks to these properties, this filament is suitable for manufacturing functional hardware such as custom computer cases, electronics enclosures, and air ducts that may be exposed to heat.

Color Matching and Manufacturing Standards

The PETG filaments have been precisely color-matched to the specific shades of beige and brown used in Noctua cooling components, ensuring visual consistency when printing accessories for existing hardware. Production takes place at the Prusa Research facility in Prague, Czech Republic. The in-house manufacturing process enables strict quality control, ensuring color accuracy and a diameter tolerance of plus/minus 0.02 mm across all material batches.

The beige and brown PETG filaments are available through the Prusa online store. Both variants cost 32.99 EUR (including VAT) and 32.99 USD (including import duties), respectively.
