SanDisk NAS 600 SATA SSD: System Upgrade
The SanDisk NAS 600 SATA SSD is designed as an upgrade option for users who want to replace traditional hard disk drives (HDDs) or implement SSD-based caching in existing NAS configurations. The drive is designed for multi-user environments and offers a mean time to failure (MTTF) of up to 2.25 million hours, as well as a write endurance of up to 2,500 TBW for the 4-TB model.
Thanks to their 2.5-inch/7-mm form factor with a SATA interface, these drives are compatible with existing 3.5-inch NAS bays that support 2.5-inch SSDs. Technical specifications include sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s. The drive is optimized for RAID configurations and collaborative workflows to maintain system responsiveness. Capacity options range from 500 GB to 4 TB.
SanDisk NAS 800 NVMe SSD: PCIe 5.0 Performance
For all-flash or hybrid NAS systems that handle business-critical data, SanDisk has introduced the NAS 800 NVMe SSD. This drive utilizes the PCIe 5.0 interface and is designed for primary storage, storage tiering, or caching. It features a significantly longer lifespan, with the 7.68-TB model supporting up to 14 PBW (petabytes written).
The SanDisk NAS 800 offers high-speed data processing for virtualization, databases, content creation, and AI applications. The 3.84-TB model achieves random read and write performance of 2.3 million and 2 million IOPS, respectively. The 1.92-TB model achieves sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds of 13,200 MB/s. These drives use TLC 3D NAND and adhere to the M.2-2280 form factor, with capacities ranging from 960 GB to 7.68 TB.
The trend toward private cloud solutions and on-premises AI processing has raised the technical requirements for storage system reliability. As users increasingly move away from public clouds to protect business-critical data on-premises, the demand is growing for hardware that can handle constant read and write cycles without compromising performance. The new SanDisk portfolio meets these requirements with scalable options for both older SATA systems and modern NVMe architectures.
The SanDisk NAS 600 and NAS 800 SSDs will be available starting in September via Sandisk.com and authorized resellers worldwide.
