Strategic Sales Network in Germany

We’ve seen the SU7 several times in China, where it’s a common sight, but it hasn’t been available in Europe until now. To facilitate its market entry, Xiaomi Auto has entered into partnerships with eight established German dealership groups. These organizations include Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH, and SPT Avior SE & Co. KG. This information is taken from the press release.

These partnerships aim to establish a sales and service infrastructure throughout Europe. By leveraging these groups’ existing expertise in handling premium automotive brands, Xiaomi intends to offer its future European customers a high-quality service experience. This expansion is supported by the company’s existing research and development center in Munich.

Market Performance and Technical Specifications

Several variants of the SU7 are on display at the booth, and outside the exhibition halls we found additional registered vehicles that were likely intended for test drives—one of which had a Munich license plate. Since launching its electric vehicle lineup in early 2024, Xiaomi has delivered over 700,000 vehicles, though it’s important to note that the vehicles are geared toward the premium segment. Specifically, the SU7 series reached 500,000 units within 28.5 months, while the YU7 model recorded over 240,000 binding orders within the first 18 hours after its market launch.

With this car, Xiaomi aims to build a smart ecosystem called “Human x Car x Home,” which is designed to intelligently connect various household devices to the car. This is no simple undertaking, and the manufacturer, which has a branch in Munich—has been working for some time on a European software integration tailored to customer preferences. As a result, the software in the cars will differ from that in the Chinese models.
