Unlike conventional current monitoring tools, which calculate total current, the WireView Pro II measures the electrical current on each individual 12V conductor. This detailed approach allows the system to detect uneven load distributions and potential contact faults. By detecting these anomalies early, the device alerts the user to conditions that typically lead to localized overheating—the primary cause of melted connections and hardware failures in high-power GPUs.

Warning Systems and Hardware Integration

The device features a built-in TFT-IPS color display that shows real-time visual warnings as soon as current values exceed user-defined thresholds. In addition to the visual user interface, the device features an audible warning system. For users who require maximum safety, an included splitter cable enables the device to trigger an automatic system shutdown when critical thresholds are exceeded. The WireView Pro II is designed for plug-and-play operation, with all key monitoring and configuration settings accessible directly on the hardware. For advanced users, optional PC software offers extended functionality, and a USB-C port is provided to facilitate manual firmware updates.

The Noctua Edition features significant hardware modifications to the cooling assembly. The system is based on a CNC-machined aluminum heatsink and utilizes a frameless NF-A4x10n fan equipped with a standard Noctua fan shroud. Comparison tests in environments with high ambient temperatures (above 40 °C with case fans disabled) show a significant improvement in thermal management compared to the standard version:

• High load (400 W to 480 W): The Noctua Edition more than doubles the time until the fan turns on and keeps the temperature at the connector approximately 3 °C lower than the standard model.
