The Gen 15 model is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor. This CPU is based on the Panther Lake architecture and features 16 cores, providing the computing power needed for resource-intensive tasks such as code compilation and 3D rendering. To support this computing power, the system features two SODIMM slots that support up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM. Storage is provided by two SSD slots, with the primary drive utilizing a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface for fast NVMe data transfer.
Connectivity and Interface Options
The Nano Pro Gen 15 features a wide range of internal and external ports to support various professional workflows:
- Network: Two 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, built-in Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
- Data Transfer: Thunderbolt 4 support.
- Display: Four dedicated display outputs.
Thanks to these specifications, the device can be used as a compact server, a workstation for software development, or a hub for creative applications.
Local AI and Execution of Large Language Models
The system is designed as a platform for the private execution of local AI models. By utilizing the integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics card, the device can accelerate token generation for models managed via software such as LM Studio, Moose, or Alpaca. A technical advantage of this integrated GPU (iGPU) architecture is the ability to access the system’s shared memory. While discrete graphics cards are limited by their dedicated VRAM (typically between 8 GB and 32 GB), the Nano Pro can utilize up to 128 GB of system RAM for AI models. This prevents performance losses that occur when a model exceeds the memory capacity of a standard dedicated GPU.
Graphics Performance and Gaming
The integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics card features 12 Xe3 cores. Although it is not designed for high-end gaming, the hardware can run older or less demanding titles at Full HD resolution. For modern, more demanding games, the system supports upscaling technologies such as Intel XeSS and AMD FSR to maintain playable frame rates at 1080p.
Operating System and Software Control
The Nano Pro Gen 15 is available with Ubuntu or the proprietary TUXEDO OS. TUXEDO OS was developed using free software and does not use telemetry or require an online account, ensuring the user retains control over system data. Other Linux distributions can be installed via TUXEDO WebFAI. A key new feature of the Gen 15 is the integration of fan control into the TUXEDO Control Center, which brings this mini-PC’s thermal management capabilities in line with those of the company’s laptop models.
