The new modules operate at data transfer rates of up to 7,200 MT/s. This increase in speed is designed to improve memory bandwidth and multitasking efficiency for data-intensive tasks such as AI inference and industrial automation.
To ensure stability at these speeds, the hardware utilizes a dual-channel architecture and an integrated power management IC (PMIC). The modules operate at a low voltage of 1.1 V and feature on-die ECC to ensure consistent data transmission across various computing platforms.
The portfolio offers several form factors to accommodate different hardware environments: CUDIMM and CSODIMM Both CUDIMM and CSODIMM modules feature a Client Clock Driver (CKD). This component amplifies the clock signals, reducing noise and jitter during high-speed operations. CUDIMMs conform to a standard size for desktop PCs and industrial PCs, while the compact CSODIMM profile is designed for mini-PCs, AI laptops, and embedded systems.
For environments where data integrity is critical—such as medical systems or edge AI platforms—Transcend offers ECC-CUDIMM and ECC-CSODIMM options. These modules enable system-level error detection and correction to reduce the risk of system crashes or data corruption.
Server and Data Center Solutions via RDIMM
For high-capacity server workloads, Transcend has introduced DDR5-7200 RDIMM modules. Unlike standard DIMMs, RDIMMs use registers to process command, address, and control signals. This design reduces the electrical load on the memory controller, thereby enabling better signal integrity when multiple modules are used in a single system. These RDIMMs support system-level ECC for real-time error correction and are therefore suitable for cloud computing, data analytics, and enterprise AI servers that require scalable and protected memory.
The DDR5-7200 series is manufactured using original ICs and tested for reliability under harsh conditions. The modules support an extended operating temperature range of -20 °C to 85 °C. To prevent hardware degradation in industrial environments, the RDIMM and ECC series feature 30 µ gold contacts and anti-sulfur technology. These features protect the contact points from corrosion caused by sulfur-containing gases, thereby extending the service life of industrial equipment. The products come with a limited lifetime warranty.
