This version focuses on a series of optimizations for specific game titles. Users can look forward to improved stability and performance in “DOOM The Dark Ages Revelations,” “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced,” “Halo Campaign Evolved,” and “Echoes of Aincrad.” Despite these optimizations, Intel has clarified that this driver version does not include targeted bug fixes for existing software or games.
Known Stability and Rendering Issues
The beta version documentation lists several known issues affecting various hardware configurations. Stability issues, particularly application crashes during gameplay, have been reported for “Borderlands 4” and “Mafia: The Old Country” across multiple GPU series. Additionally, “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege” may crash on A-series graphics cards if shaders were compiled with an earlier driver version; Intel recommends clearing the shader cache to resolve this issue.
Graphical rendering errors are another known issue. In “Marathon,” object errors may occur when anisotropic filtering is enabled, while “Forza Horizon 6” exhibits suboptimal reflection quality. Other titles with graphical anomalies include “Hogwarts Legacy” during ray-tracing sequences and “007 First Light” in certain scenes. Users of first-generation Core Ultra processors may experience crashes when launching “NBA 2K26” for the first time.
Performance with Professional Applications and Software
Beyond gaming, this driver version also affects professional creative tools. PugetBench benchmarks for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio are prone to intermittent crashes. To mitigate issues in DaVinci Resolve Studio, it is recommended to increase the timeout slider to at least 1500 seconds.
In addition, the accompanying Intel Graphics software has several functional bugs. On Windows 10, attempting to reset all settings via the settings menu can cause a crash. Users may also encounter issues on the “Performance” page, where the feature to hide charts and adjust metrics does not always work as intended.
