Lexar THOR RGB DDR5 Gen 2 Memory Kits with CXMT Memory Chips Now on Sale

The hardware operates at a speed of 7,200 MT/s with CAS latencies of 38-48-48-86 and a voltage of 1.40 V. To enable high frequencies and overclocking potential, the kit is compatible with both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles. Although Lexar has not officially disclosed the DRAM supplier for this specific kit, it is generally assumed that the modules come from a Chinese manufacturer, likely CXMT. The memory chips are housed under sandblasted aluminum heat spreaders to aid in heat dissipation.

Compatibility tests were conducted on various MSI and ASUS motherboards on both Intel and AMD platforms. While the primary product description focuses on the 7,200 MT/s version, Lexar has also stated that tests were performed using a 32-GB kit capable of reaching 7,600 MT/s.

The THOR RGB DDR5-7200 kit is listed in Lexar’s official JD store for 3,999 RMB, equivalent to approximately 592 USD. Currently, the product is only available in mainland China, and there is no word yet on a global launch.
