Available Release Candidate Versions

The current release includes the following specific build versions:

  • macOS: 27.0 Golden Gate (Build 26A428), 26.7 Tahoe (Build 25G229), and 15.8 Sequoia (Build 24H23).
  • iOS and iPadOS: 27.0 (Build 24A435) and 26.7 (Build 23H24).
  • Other platforms: tvOS 27.0 (Build 24J360), watchOS 27.0 (Build 24R363), and HomePod software 27.0 (Build 24J360).
  • Development tools: Xcode 27.0 (Build 27A266a).

Security Updates for Older Versions

In addition to the new major releases, Apple provides security updates for earlier operating system branches. Critical security patches included in macOS 27.0 and iOS 27.0 have been backported to macOS 26.7 Tahoe, macOS 15.8 Sequoia, and iOS/iPadOS 26.7. This ensures that users who prefer to stay on older versions can maintain a secure environment without having to immediately upgrade to the latest major version.

Safari Browser Updates and Future Roadmap

The Safari web browser, version 27.0, is integrated directly into the builds of macOS 27.0 and iOS/iPadOS 27.0. For users of macOS 26 and macOS 15, Safari 27.0 is provided as a standalone update.

Following the public release of the 27.0 OS updates, the beta testing phase for version 27.1 is expected to begin. The final stable versions of macOS 27.1 and iOS/iPadOS 27.1 are scheduled to be completed by mid-October.
