GR20x Development Cycle

The GR20x family is generally considered the consumer implementation of the Rubin architecture. Although the manufacturer has not officially announced either the product names or the specific timeline for the market launch of the Rubin-based consumer product line, industry leaks have provided the basic timeline for these components.

The updated forecast suggests a delay in the production or completion of the GR20x chip. This adjustment follows previous patterns in which preliminary specifications and launch windows for interim hardware, such as the GeForce RTX 50 SUPER series, were also subject to delays. No detailed technical specifications for the GR20x hardware have been released yet.

The shift to the 2028 timeline is not an isolated case. Independent information from other industry sources points to a broader trend within the discrete GPU market. There are indications that next-generation hardware cycles from other major graphics card manufacturers have also shifted toward a 2028 release.
