The Barracuda V2 Pro is equipped with 40-mm TriForce bio-cellulose drivers. These drivers deliver a balanced sound profile characterized by clear highs, precise mids, and deep bass without distortion. For users connected to a PC, the headset supports THX Spatial Audio+, which delivers a virtual 7.1.4 surround sound experience. Unlike standard surround sound, the 7.1.4 configuration includes four additional height channels. This technical enhancement allows sound to be positioned not only around the user but also above them, resulting in a more complex and precise three-dimensional soundstage.

ANC and Microphone

To minimize ambient noise, the headset uses hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC). This system uses a combination of inward- and outward-facing microphones to detect and neutralize ambient noise, allowing the user to stay focused regardless of their surroundings.

The communication system is based on a dual-mode microphone architecture:

  • Detachable boom microphone: Designed for exceptionally clear voice transmission during PC gaming and team coordination.
  • Integrated beamforming microphones: Built into the ear cups, they ensure a sleek profile for on-the-go use.

Both microphone configurations are supported by AI-powered noise cancellation, which filters out background noise to ensure clear voice transmission.

The headset uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology for 2.4 GHz connections and delivers low-latency audio that’s significantly faster than standard Bluetooth LE. This ensures that audio and voice chat remain in sync on PCs, consoles, and handheld devices. A key feature of the Barracuda V2 Pro is its ability to maintain both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connections simultaneously. This lets you take phone calls or listen to music while staying connected to a gaming session. A dedicated SmartSwitch button lets you quickly toggle between these two wireless modes. ## Price and Availability The Razer Barracuda V2 Pro is available at a suggested retail price of 219.99 EUR.
