Specifications

The Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 is expected to feature a CPU configuration with 8 cores and 16 threads. An important technical detail is the inclusion of 24 MB of L3 cache. This cache represents an increase over other 8-core models in the same product family, as it matches the 24 MB found in the 12-core variants of the Ryzen AI 9 HX.

This configuration suggests a strategy to maintain high data throughput and efficiency in memory-intensive tasks, even though it uses fewer physical cores than the flagship models.

Integrated Graphics

Another difference with the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 is the integration of a full graphics configuration with 16 compute units based on the Radeon 890M. This puts the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455’s GPU performance on par with that of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 and the HX 470. Compared to the existing Ryzen AI 7 450, the HX 455 offers a significant upgrade in graphics hardware. While the Ryzen AI 7 450 uses the Radeon 860M with only 8 compute units and 16 MB of L3 cache, the HX 455 doubles the number of compute units to 16 and increases the L3 cache to 24 MB.
