The next generation is expected to bring improvements in both processing power and memory. Internal information suggests the integration of the A19 Pro chip, which will replace the previous-generation chip. Memory capacity is also expected to increase, with the base configuration likely to include 12 GB of RAM. In addition to these internal changes, the company will likely introduce a range of new color options for the casing.

These projected improvements contrast with the current MacBook Neo (Review), which was released in March 2026. The first-generation notebook uses the A18 Pro chip, is equipped with 8 GB of RAM, and performed very well. At launch, the current model was available in four different colors: Silver, Blush, Citrus, and Indigo.

Apple had to raise prices on many models, which made the Neo slightly less appealing; however, it remains Apple’s most affordable model. At this point, we can only speculate on what the MSRP of the MacBook Neo 2 will be.
