snap-confine CVE-2026-8933: Vulnerability allows local privilege escalation - affects Ubuntu

A high-severity vulnerability has been discovered in the “snap-confine” component of Linux systems, affecting several versions of Ubuntu in particular. This vulnerability, registered under the identifier CVE-2026-8933 with a CVSS score of 7.8, allows a local user without special privileges to bypass security restrictions and gain full root access.
